Sometimes we believe that when we step through the doors of our workplace, we cease being ourselves & start being someone else’s employee. Though our employer may depend on us to perform certain tasks, the truth is that we never stop being ourselves. The commitment to being a conscious, empowered person of integrity doesn’t stop & start with a time clock. Look at your present life situation & see if you find yourself in any of the circumstances below
- You sense that you are not being respected & are constantly being taken for granted
- You sense a lot of neediness for other people’s approval (which is usually denied to you)

What people fear most is untimely death, and this fear is growing because of the increasing uncertainties of life today. Scientific advances have made life more comfortable in many ways. However, insecurity has also kept pace with progress. Today everyone feels vulnerable, for anything can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Our increasing tendency to violence & the growing mechanisation of our lives have created conditions in which death is just a careless moment away. How to overcome fear? First of all, it requires an attitudinal change. We need to drill into our minds that one only loses by giving in to fear. Fear paralyses the mind, rendering it incapable of doing what it can easily do otherwise. Another change needed is in the way we look at adversity .
